Karen Sullivan, professional organizer in Northern VirginiaKaren Sullivan joined Organizing Maniacs in 2017.

Karen was born and raised in Connecticut. While her passion is in helping people, she developed her organizing skills from her career in accounting and bookkeeping. She began her passion of organizing and tidying in childhood. Like most of us, she used to organize her friends when she went over to hang out and play.

Karen holds an Associates’ degree in Business Administration from the University of Connecticut. And while she loves all things related to fitness and nutrition, she is mostly proud of being a die-hard Philadelphia Eagles fan. Go Eagles!

When Karen returned to Virginia to be closer to family, she was determined to find her calling and find work that was meaningful. She knew she wanted to help people. Karen felt right at home on her first day of working with the Organizing Maniacs team, and every day she looks forward to making a positive impact in our client’s lives. She brings a warm personality and a smile to every project, and she likes to remind us that we can always find humor in our current situations. It is a philosophy she carries over into her work with our clients.

Karen specializes in helping clients with Chronic Disorganization, small businesses, and time-management. She is the mom of a grown son, but as a single mom, she knows from personal experience the struggle with and importance of being organized as a crucial survival tool. When Karen shows up to her client’s homes, she brings with her an infectious positive outlook and an inspiring ability to guide clients through even the most daunting task by taking things one step at a time and celebrating each small victory along the way.

Karen is dedicated to helping individuals and businesses become organized, productive, and successful. Karen’s work doesn’t end when she leaves a client’s home – she is dedicated to Organizing Maniac’s commitment to social organizing and social recycling.

Karen is a member of the National Association of Productivity & Organizing Professionals (NAPO-National) and has attended CHADD conferences since she started organizing in 2017. She is a member of CHADD.

She looks forward to earning her Certified Professional Organizer – CPO® designation from the Board of Certified Professional Organizers in the near future.
